Bid setting
We offer two budget setting options: Monthly and Daily.
To take advantage of the monthly delivery trend and not to lose traffic peaks, we recommend choosing the monthly option.
The strength of the campaign will be determined not only by the CPC, but also by the chosen budget:
- If it is too low, you will not be able to cover the potential of your campaign and during the month you will experience a traffic drop.
- If your budget is sufficient to cover the potential of your campaign with the assigned CPC, you will see a more or less stable delivery trend. Your campaign can also have potential to deliver more if you set a more competitive budget from the first days of the month.
- If the budget is disproportionate to the campaign's potential, you will have unspent budget during the month. In this case, please check that the ad volume is sufficient to have a good ad rotation for all user searches and that the CPC is competitive. If those conditions are met, we suggest testing CPC increase to compete for more traffic which is reserved for higher CPCs and assess their impact on volumes and other metrics. Or, as a last resort, move unspent budget to other campaigns.
Delivery setting
You have two pacing options: standard and accelerated (only available for Trovit campaigns). The pacing and delivery speed will depend on what bidding strategy you choose.
1. Standard Delivery
Standard delivery will distribute your ad spend as evenly as possible through the lifetime of your campaign. If you have a budget for $30.000 for one month, around $1.000 will be spent every day.
Your bid will be stable if you don’t change CPCs, though it’s worth noting that you may miss out on some placements because of the flat bid.
This is a feature only available for Trovit campaigns.
2. Accelerated Delivery
Accelerated budget delivery will spend your budget as quickly as possible.
This can be a good option for advertisers with really large budgets, or those who want to show their ads to a lot of people very quickly. It may also be a way to easily see the full potential of your campaign, as the budget will not be evenly spread. For instance, with a Standard delivery, there will be a maximum budget delivered per day, with the accelerated option, the delivery will be as high as the true potential of the campaign, without keeping in mind a daily budget. Testing setting budget on accelerated delivery can help you set up your monthly budget according to your potential.
Start and End date
It’s possible to set a specific time period for a Campaign.
When a start date is configured, the campaign will start running and receiving traffic the day indicated.
