Before making a conversion people visit different ads in order to have an overview of the market and decide what suits them better.
Thribee's Audience Segment of Retargeting allows you to reach those users that are considering options and that have already clicked on at least one of your ads in our aggregators but haven't made a conversion in your site yet.
Therefore, Retargeting helps you re-engage your users who have left your website before generating a conversion.
This is a feature only available for Trovit.
How Retargeting Audience Segment works
Retargeting campaigns target those users who have already clicked on your ads, and never converted.
The conversion is verified through the Thribee conversion tracker installed on your website, and the user’s behaviour with a cookie applied on our aggregators.
We leverage real-time data about user behaviour and conversions in order to help you turn all users in converters.
Once our system detected a user has converted in your website, your Retargeting campaign will stop applying to this user and your fallback campaigns will apply.

As we've already mentioned, in order to use Retargeting campaigns, you will need to install in your website the Thribee conversion pixel tracker. The Thribee conversion pixel tracker will let us identify if the user has already converted in your website coming from our aggregators (in order to decide to target the user or not). To install the Thribee conversion pixel, you only need to follow this simple implementation guide.
Retargeting Audience Segment benefits
- Another chance to make the conversion happen: To convince users to take action and convert, one visit is typically not enough.
- Business opportunities: Leveraging real-time data about user behaviour and conversions, you can advertise to people that have visited your site but haven’t converted yet in your site. Why? Retargeted users are active users in the process of searching so they will probably revisit new offers and convert.

Easy to activate
1. First, check if the conversion tracker is correctly installed in the Tool section -> Conversion tracker
2. Go to create a "New campaign" in your Thribee platform. Inside the “Audience” section you will find "Retargeting audience".
3. To create a Retargeting campaign you need to create a dedicated campaign in Thribee and just check on the “Retargeting” option.

You don’t need any development from your side, just check if you have the conversion PX installed, in order to track if the user has already made a conversion in your site coming from our aggregators.
After the campaign is created, you’ll start receiving traffic the following day.

Tips and Recommendations
- We advise to set a higher CPC in the Retargeting campaign than in the rest of your premium or content segmentation campaigns.
- You can combine Retargeting with other User Segmentation or Content Segmentation criteria. Beware that if you segment too much, you will probably end up with a universe too small to generate a significant impact.
- Combine your Retargeting campaign with your current campaigns. Retargeting works as a companion to another existing campaign: once users have already converted in your site, we'll stop applying the retargeting campaign. Those users that have already made a conversion are eager to do more, so make sure to have fallback campaigns to continue targeting them. If you don’t have fallback campaigns, probably your traffic from Trovit or Mitula will significantly decrease.
